Lets start with the Cajun dialect. The Cajun people are a group of people who live in southern Louisiana. Their ancestors lived in a French colony that is now the Canadian province of Nova Scotia and nearby lands. The name Cajun comes from the name of the colony, Acadia.
So the Cajun dialect is a mix of French language and Canadian language put together to make up Cajun language. This dialect was created around the Louisiana Purchase spoken by slaves brought to North America from Haiti and Lesser Antilles.
